An Engineered Wood Product
Finger jointed lumber is engineered to be stronger and straighter than
its solid wood counterpart. Short pieces of kiln dried, heat treated
blocks are defect chopped and ripped and are then used in the finger
joint manufacture process. Finger jointed lumber can be produced in many
different lengths specific to customer and market requirements thereby
saving time and money for the builder at the job site.
Heat Resistant Adhesive(HRA)
Gillwood Remanufacturing Inc has proactively responded to the upcoming changes in the multi-level building code requirements for more heat and fire resistant building products. ALL finger jointed lumber at Gillwood Remanufacturing Inc is produced using a heat resistant adhesive.
